One of Vogue Japan's Women of the Year in 2018, Honoka Matsumoto is a rising star who first made a name for herself in the popular NHK morning drama "Hiyokko" two years ago. Interest in the Osaka-native has continued to grow since and she's now very much an actress in demand, particularly after playing the female lead in the 2018 live adaptation se ries of the popular wartime anime "In This Corner of the World" ("Kono Sekai no Katasumi Ni").
